Software as aService: Concept to provide the user with software applications via the internet for use against payment. The software and the necessary infrastructure are operated by an external IT service provider. The costs typically depend on the number of users who work with the software or on the modules used (range of functions) of the software provided. SaaS is a typical representative of cloud computing.
