Infrastructure as a Service: a cloud service that provides virtual infrastructure components on an on-demand basis through an IT service provider. With this cloud service, a cloud service provider makes all infrastructure components—such as servers, computing power, network capacity, communication devices, storage, archiving and backup systems, and other data center and network infrastructure components—available to the user. The user can access these virtual services via broadband networks. Billing is based on actual usage.
