Focus on effectiveness for laboratory work
From the beginning, one of the main goals of WinLaisy was to make work in the laboratory as effective as possible. All user interfaces are optimised for quick and easy operation. Data acquisition is supported by many standard mechanisms and supported by defined processes with analyses, test plans, samples, sample plans, etc. In addition to the focus on outstanding user-friendliness, another goal is to constantly equip WinLaisy with the latest technologies in order to fully exploit the potential of digitalisation. Therefore, all data is managed by WinLaisy in a modern, open standard database and is thus securely integrated into the IT infrastructure. For this reason, important topics such as data backup and data access are up to date with the latest IT technology. WinLaisy is based on a client-server system. This makes it possible to provide the LIMS at any workstation in a simple way and to provide easy access to the data. Data entry is also done at the clients, eliminating the use of paper records in the best possible way.
Information distribution and evaluation
The digital central database with all laboratory data not only brings advantages for effective operational work in the laboratory, but also for evaluation and information distribution. WinLaisy is equipped with appropriate functions for this purpose. The evaluations are a standard tool. With them, any evaluations can be created for all samples, which are then carried out manually or automatically, daily or as required. This means that the data of the current analyses are available at any time at any operating station and thus to any operator, in order to make decisions and to guide work processes. The automatic execution of analyses ends in the sending of the result as an e-mail to the configured recipients, giving them a quick insight into the current status. Another powerful tool in WinLaisy for using the valuable data stock are the WinLaisy dashboards. These dashboards can be freely designed with common dashboard components and have access to the entire sample dataset. The dashboards created can be viewed by operators at any workstation and provide a real-time overview of the latest samples, their analysis results and any critical situations that need to be addressed. The WinLaisy dashboards also enable employees outside the laboratory to use the data of the samples currently being carried out for themselves and to better adjust the processes in production on the basis of the findings.
Scalable for further application areas
WinLaisy can be flexibly adapted to the existing laboratory operation. The dynamic compilation of analyses, samples, test plans, articles and products makes it possible to map the laboratory's sample volume. Additional modules are available for further applications. These modules cover the areas of external laboratory connection, news (analysis value distribution via web interface in the company), test equipment management,
supplier evaluation, notification (free alerting via e-mail, WhatsApp, Telegram, MS Teams).
Basis for Lab 4.0
With WinLaisy, the laboratory is ready for the next step. The vision of "Laboratory 4.0" describes a laboratory in which the greatest possible networking is created so that data can be automatically provided and received at any time. This makes it possible for processes and analytical devices to provide information and automatically create samples from it and fill them with results. On the other hand, the LIMS in the Laboratory 4.0 automatically transfers data to other systems (e.g. SAP, DCS), whereby subsequent processes can run automatically. Networking and communication is made possible on the one hand by the structured digital storage of laboratory data in a professional database and on the other hand by standardised interfaces. The LIMS WinLaisy is the ideal basis for successively developing the laboratory and its processes into the Laboratory 4.0 way of working. With WinLaisy, all instruments are available.
