Information helps counter a distorted image of digitization as a job killer

Is digitization a job killer? Most studies do not indicate that more work is being eliminated than created as a result of the automation associated with digitization. Nevertheless, public opinion tends to perceive automation as a threat. Such fear of automation, in turn, affects political and social preferences as well as individual labor market decisions, thus influencing the impact of digitization. But: Information campaigns can help to correct the distorted perception in the population.
