Description
Modular course consisting of 7 events with a total of 11 days
Laboratory information and management systems form the backbone of a modern laboratory. LIMSs manage customers, projects, orders and samples, collect and archive measurement results, generate reports and findings - and much more! Only the smooth functioning of the LIMS and its continuous further development can ensure the efficiency, performance and cost-effectiveness of the laboratory.
LIMS officers ensure this. Their tasks go far beyond mere administrative duties. While LIMS administration is a technical-operational activity, LIMS officers design, develop, optimize and validate the entire IT infrastructure of the laboratory, including the interfaces to other systems, suppliers and customers. They digitize processes, manage projects, administer budgets and control deadlines. They are the bridge between users and IT specialists and speak both languages.
Experienced laboratory personnel with previous IT knowledge are predestined to be promoted to the position of LIMS representative after appropriate training. This course provides the qualification modules for this.
