Description
Modular course consisting of 7 events with a total of 11 days
Laboratory information and management systems form the backbone of a modern laboratory. LIMS manage customers, projects, orders and samples, collect and archive measurement results, generate reports or findings - and much more! Only the smooth functioning of the LIMS and its constant further development enable the efficiency, performance and profitability of the laboratory.
LIMS officers ensure this. Their tasks go far beyond pure administrator duties. While LIMS administration is a technical-operational activity, LIMS officers design, develop, optimise and validate the entire IT infrastructure of the laboratory, including the interfaces to other systems, suppliers and customers. They digitise processes, lead projects, manage budgets and control deadlines. They are the bridge between users and IT specialists and speak both languages.
Experienced laboratory personnel with previous IT knowledge are predestined to advance to the position of LIMS representative after appropriate training. This course provides the qualification modules for this.
